Not much

I can't seem to get out of this bad pattern of staying up all night. It leaves me exhausted in the day and with with the brutal heat no desire to hop on buses. So I spent the last 2 days just walking around the small city. I did find a leather fob to replace what I had on the chain wallet. It was not cheap at about $14 but it does seem high quality leather. I was happy to find a Starbucks that make an excellent camel macchiato . I ate fish at the Ocean Basket and hung around the hotel to talk to Nadia.
I fly out as the airport is in the Turkish part of Cyprus which means crossing a boarder.

Armenian Memorial.

The Armenian Genocide Memorial in LarnacaCyprus, is a monument dedicated to the martyrs and survivors of the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923. It is located at Larnaca’s seafront and marks the spot where thousands of Armenian refugees fleeing the atrocities of the Genocide first landed in Cyprus (at Larnaca Port). Its position is adjacent to the entrance to Larnaca’s present-day marina.
The memorial also represents the gratitude of the Armenian nation towards the people of Cyprus for their generosity and assistance to the Armenian refugees.

Larnaca Castle

Larnaca Castle more like a fort than castle. Small, 2 stories has some nice colorful pottery peices on the 2nd floor.
The fortress use to hang people. Here is a photo and spot.

Larzsus "Come forth"

And so Jesus said at the place where Larzsus had been buried for 4 days.  Afterwards, Larzsus fled to Cyprus where he was made a Bishop and lived toman additional 40 years.

The Church of Saint Lazarus is named for New Testament figure Lazarus of Bethany, the subject of a miracle recounted in the Gospel of Johnin which Jesus raises him from the dead. According to Orthodox tradition, sometime after the Resurrection of Christ, Lazarus was forced to flee Judea because of rumored plots on his life and came to Cyprus. There he was appointed by Paul and Barnabas as the first Bishop of Kition (present-day Larnaca). He is said to have lived for thirty more years and on his death was buried there for the second and last time. The Church of Agios Lazaros was built over the reputed (second) tomb of Lazarus.

Overslept!!!!

Unheard of, unbelievable that I actually overslept. I was suppose to get up at 6 to get ready for a tour a 8am but lo and behold I work up 7:55 and missed the tour. Luckily, they are allowing me to go on Thursday tour.
So I spent the day getting out of bed late, and walking around Larnaca. With its beautiful promenade along the water, multiple restaurants, cafes and even  a Starbucks, Tiny, twisting streets, I had an excellent day. I first hit Lazurus' Church, then the Castle and finally to the Armenians memorial. Along the way, had a great Starbucks and some sushi at Ocean Basket.
The beach seem crowded as it was very hot. It is just not my thing to take sun on the beach or swim.

The Flight

It's time again! I book Austrian Airlins Business Class to Larnaca with a stop in Vienna. The cost was $38 and 70k in UR miles. The BC product was nothing special, an hour late leaving and below others. However, where they excelled was in the food. The mozzarella and tomato salad was the tastiest I've had. The main of Chicken with Broich stuffing in a delicate sauce was exquisite. The final ice cream was wonderful.

Checked through Vienna without issues thanks to Italian Passport. A two and a half hour wait for crappy flight to Larnaca. They call that Business Class????? 2 rows, 3 seats across not exactly comfortable. I thought about my 14 Hour flight to Figi and was I crazy booking that route.
Of votes as usual a screw up with getting pick up from the airport. I waited and finally the guy shows up like he couldn't find me. Quick ride to the hotel.
